Aran Galligan received a BFA in Craft/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000, and an MFA from SUNY New Paltz in 2012. Previous to her MFA she completed a two-year fellowship at Penland School of Crafts. Through the exploration of systems, both manmade and within the body, she creates wearable jewelry that conveys an unconventional beauty.
She has taught at SUNY New Paltz, Penland School of Crafts, North Seattle Community College, and Danaca Design. Her work was included in the Lark Publication 500 Enameled Objects, and has been part of several exhibition throughout the world.
